Years of Experience As a Peer Advocate Predicts Hyperarousal Symptoms of Secondary Trauma

This study fills gaps in research by examining whether years of experience as a peer advocate predicts the occurrence of secondary traumatic stress. Results show that peer advocates’ years of experience did not significantly predict STS overall, although hyperarousal symptoms correlated with years of experience.
