Abstract
Childhood self- and other- directed violence increases risk for psychological distress into adulthood. However, the neurobiological consequences of these early behaviors on adults remain understudied. Thus, we investigated differences in cortical thickness among adults who engaged in childhood violence, finding less thickness in regions critical for emotional and behavioral regulation.
