The E-PANAS: Development and Validation of an Emoji-Based Positive and Negative Affect Schedule

Abstract
Conventional assessments of affect may be confounded by language and have limited ecological validity. Emoji are widely used and express emotion without language, and so, they have significant potential for psychological assessment. Consequently, this study introduces and validates an emoji version of the Positive and Negative Affect Schedule.
Affect
