Abstract
By analyzing data from the Fragile Families and Child Wellbeing Study (n=2338) using multigroup structural equation modeling, this study found that father involvement in sharing childcare responsibility decreases the risk of maternal postpartum depression through enhancing relationship quality. These associations were consistent across European American, African American, and Hispanic mothers.
