Parental Mind-Mindedness Moderates the Longitudinal Developmental Cascades from Infant Difficulty to Parenting to Child Disregard for Rules: A Moderated Mediation Model

Abstract
In 102 families, we examined the moderating role of parental mind-mindedness (MM) in the cascades from infant difficulty to later child (dis)regard of rules, mediated by parent’s power assertion. For mothers, a direct effect, but not mediation, was found. For fathers, indirect effects were present when MM was low.
