Abstract
The current work establishes preliminary validity for a novel cue-based paradigm for assessing cognitive-affective reactivity to racial stigma cues. Findings suggest that racial stigma cues increase cognitive-affective reactivity to non-stigma, negatively-valenced cues--and have implications for core processes that mediate the impact of racial stigma on negative outcomes among African Americans.
