Abstract

Based on a sample of 731 participants (66.6% female; 93.7% Hispanic), we found that both angry rumination and self-critical rumination were associated with poorer self-reported physical health. Self-critical rumination showed a statistically-significantly stronger association, accounting for 20% (vs. 12%) of the variance in health scores.
