Abstract
This study brings initial results from the development of a multidimensional self-control scale. Unlike extant measures of trait self-control, this scale measures trait self-control as a three-level concept. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses, internal consistency, as well as incremental validity assessments supported the hierarchical and multidimensional structure of the scale.
