The Relationship between Increased Tertiary Experience and the Nature of Discipline/Major on Students’ Orientation, Beliefs, Conceptions, and Approaches to Learning.

Abstract
The present study looked at differences between groups of students matriculating through university and the influence of their major/discipline on a variety of cognitive and motivational measures. The results found a mixture of patterns across the measures which varied in terms of their adaptive value within a university context.
