Abstract
Adolescence is marked by increased susceptibility to risk-taking (Steinberg, 2010). Though peer influence on adolescent risk-taking has been studied extensively, effects of parental influence require further research (Bahr et al., 2005). The present study found youth-parent trust to moderate the relationship between resistance to maternal influence and youth risk behavior.
