Abstract
The current study asked emerging adults (N=497) to retrospectively examine their parents’ reactions to negative emotions. We assessed current symptoms related to psychological distress, and emotional intelligence (i.e., emotion recognition and regulation). Path analyses were conducted using PROCESS to explore two parallel mediation models and support the conceptual model.
