Factors Related to Attitudes Toward Seeking Professional Psychological Help: Focus on West African Immigrants in the United States.

Abstract
This study investigated factors that influence West African (WA) immigrants' attitudes toward psychological services in the US. Data were collected on 85, adult WA immigrants from the Midwest. Surveys assessed mental health/illness knowledge, help-seeking attitudes, and sociodemographic variables. Results illustrate factors that influence their mental health/illness knowledge and help-seeking attitudes.
