Adding Nuance to Criminal Subtype Stereotypes: The Effect of the Moral Dimension

Using a data generated approach, we produced visual images of individuals’ stereotypes of criminal subtypes, finding that, while criminality is stereotypically male, there is a divergence in racial attributions along the moral dimension, that is, whether the crime in question was considered morally wrong or just merely prohibited.
