Abstract
A sample of college female child sexual abuse survivors completed online questionnaires. Controlling for negative affectivity, results indicated type of force used, frequency, and nature of the sexual abuse predicted both PTSD symptoms and shame. Shame partially mediated the relationship between CSA severity and traumatic stress symptoms.
