Consumer Reviews and Empirical Ratings of Mental Health Apps: What Informs Decisions to Download?

Abstract
We examined the extent to which PsyberGuide ratings and customer reviews converge to inform decisions to download. We visualized keywords network of reviews from 136 apps and compared word frequency between two widely used meditation apps (Headspace vs. Calm). Our results suggested weak relationships between consumer reviews and credibility.
