Abstract
Women psychologists remain underrepresented in leaderships positions. We examined whether electing women presidents of regional psychological associations is linked to regional political views and historical era. While women's presidencies have increased overall since the 1980's, associations in politically liberal regions have elected more women presidents than associations in conservative regions.
