Abstract
This study showed that there was a negative association between a general sense of self-efficacy and depressive symptoms in direct support professionals (DSPs) who provided long-term care for individuals with disabilities. However, this association only occurred when emotion regulation skills were poor, suggesting that interventions need to target emotion regulation.
