Abstract
We examined the structure of high school freshmen’s in-the-moment math emotions and its impact on three measures of motivation. Results suggest in-the-moment math emotions have four dimensions, positive and negative emotions about the math and about their teacher/classmates. These have different relationships with mastery and performance goal orientation and self-efficacy.
