Abstract
The vexing nature of direct support professionals (DSP) often involves negative outcomes, such as anxiety symptoms. The results of this study revealed an indirect pathway from general self-efficacy to anxiety symptoms through stress with gender controlled. Programs supporting DSPs need to target self-efficacy and stress management to improve anxiety symptoms.
