Abstract

We examined links between locomotion and executive function in 8-14 month old infants using fNIRS. First, infants were pushed in a stroller and crawled. Next, infants attended to two cognitive tasks evaluating executive function. Results revealed significant differences in peak Oxy levels for more active cognitive and locomotor tasks.
