Abstract
The results from a focus group of six Inland Empire transgender individuals revealed that barriers to healthcare included a lack of correct medical information, insurance coverage, and transportation. Participants reported that providers had low levels of cultural competency, frequent incorrect usage of pronouns, and scarce knowledge about the transgender experience.
