Predictors of Loneliness in a Diverse College Sample

Self-compassion and positive affect have been identified as protective factors for loneliness. However, limited research has examined how these constructs may be associated with loneliness in emerging adulthood. Findings from the present study indicate a negative association between self-compassion and loneliness, moderated by year in college.
