Abstract
Research suggests that the learning benefits of attempting to retrieve information from memory are precluded when relying on the Internet to retrieve information. Results of the current study suggest, however, that similarly to pretesting, searching the Internet has the potential to promote, rather than impede, the learning of searched information.
