Abstract

Comprehensive data on television and video watching behavior were collected from a sample of 216 students for one week. Cluster analyses determined a cut-point of eight hours of viewing, thus creating a data-driven definition of binge-watching. This proposed definition of binge-watching was validated by correlations with BMI and dissociative experiences.
