Abstract
An Internet Addiction (IA) scale was developed and administered to 404 subjects. Fifty percent met the criteria for IA and significant correlations between IA severity and multiple psychiatric symptoms were identified. IA rates are rising and IA should be added to the DSM and treated as a public health concern.
