Contamination, Sympathetic Magic, and Psychopathology

There have been few and inconsistent theoretical writings on the similarity between contamination fears and sympathetic magical contagion. Additionally, a recent theory has described a single, continuous spectrum of severity in psychopathology. Given this, we propose a general factor of magical contagion that is positively correlated with this spectrum.
