Assessing the Effectiveness of Multiple Nutrition Facts Label Designs to Promote User Comprehension

Abstract
This study applied multiple psychological visual design principles to the nutrition facts label with the goal of increasing user comprehension. Unfortunately, the data showed the new labels did not improve users’ comprehension. Implications of these findings and direction for future research for improving label comprehension will be provided.
