Aging in an Age of Intolerance: Combating Age Discrimination in Academia

This research assesses the prevalence of ageism in academia and the threat to health and well-being it presents to older workers. Preliminary results from an in-depth online survey of university faculty members (N=324) indicate that age discrimination is widespread and contributes to work related stress, marginalization, isolation, and invisibility.
