Gender As a Moderator of the Relationship between Giving Social Support and Inflammation

Abstract
Inflammation and social relationships are linked to physical health differentially across men and women. We examined gender as a moderator of the link between giving social support and inflammation. Giving social support was associated with more inflammation; specifically, men who gave more social support had increased inflammation.
