Convergent Univariate and Multivariate Evidence for Task-General Fronto-Parietal Cognitive Control

Cognitive control is thought to engage fronto-parietal network for maintaining goal-directed behavior following increased task demands and interference, yet whether cognitive control involves domain-general neural mechanisms has not been rigorously tested. Utilizing univariate and multivariate analyses for task fMRI data, we showed convergent support for this domain-general cognitive control hypothesis.
