Abstract

Selective attention experiments examining the temporal properties of identity priming from attended and ignored words in a lexical decision task are reported. Results showed significant immediate attended repetition positive priming and ignored repetition negative priming effects, but only negative priming was sustained for over ten minutes with many intervening trials.
