Abstract
Cognition (note-taking, mnemonic tactics, use of memorization, etc.),and Social cohesion (alertness, ability to interact in the new community),were seen to be predictors of learners’ strategies to overcome academic and psychological challenges, which is congruent with Henning (2011)’s opinion, that real- life adversities are necessary to enhance linguistic development through resilience.
