Devaluing the Disabled Employee: Effect of Disabilities on Perceptions of Potential

Abstract
We investigated how disability and performance level influenced perceptions of employee potential. In an experimental design, we found that disabled employees are viewed as possessing less cognitive ability, learning agility, typical intellectual engagement, and developmental readiness; no differences were perceived in social competence.
Disabilities
