Ideology and Identity As Predictors of Anti-Transgender Prejudice

We examined ideology (rightwing authoritarianism and heteronormativity) and identity (gender esteem and heterosexual esteem) as predictors of anti-transgender prejudice in a sample of employed adults. Findings indicate both ideology and identity play a role in anti-transgender prejudice but that the role of identity is more complex than previously theorized.
