Abstract
This research investigated how maternal, paternal, and peer social support predict adolescent resiliency. Study participants were 1354 adolescents from the Longitudinal Studies of Child Abuse and Neglect (LONGSCAN). All social support types predicted resiliency, with maternal support predicting resiliency against externalizing problems and paternal support predicting resiliency against internalizing problems.
