Do Psychological Sex Differences Reflect Evolutionary Bi-Sexual Partitioning?
- Irina Trofimova
McMaster University
Abstract
The presented review suggests evolutionary perspective into bio-behavioural sex differences: male's higher rates in sensation seeking, physical strength and speed, psychopathy, dyslexia, autism, higher birth- and accidental death rates, and female's superiority in verbal abilities, lawfulness, socialization, empathy, agreeableness. The analysis is in line with evolutionary theories in mathematical biology.
