Abstract

This study examined whether perceived parental gender ideology was a moderating variable that exacerbated the association between gender role conflict (GRC) and internalizing symptoms. Participants completed a survey. Results indicated a significant association between GRC and anxiety for participants whose primary male caregiver endorsed a more traditional parental gender ideology.
