A Meta-Analysis of the Instructor Gender and Race Differences on Student Evaluation of Teaching

Abstract
Instructor gender and race differences on student evaluation of teaching (SET) were examined based on 19 selected studies via meta-analysis. Results showed that instructor gender difference was trivial, while European American instructors received significantly higher SET than other races. The effects of research design and course levels were also discussed.
