The Association of Mental Health and Social Emotional Constructs with Academic Achievement

Abstract
We examined associations between several psychosocial variables (e.g., empathy, academic motivation, anxiety) and academic achievement in 583 adolescents. Results indicated that only academic motivation had direct meaningful associations with academic achievement and it mediated the relationship of the other variables with academic achievement. Data collection is completed.
