Abstract
Two studies (N = 639) tested and found support for the hypothesis that the “decision difficulty” component of maximizing scales is empirically indistinguishable from indecisiveness. Principal component analyses and correlations with relevant measures support the conclusion that “decision difficulty” is not part of maximizing, but rather indecisiveness by another name.
