Abstract
This study sought to examine what factors increase individual resilience and HS completion in African Americans. Parental involvement showed a direct effect on likelihood of HS graduation. In addition, there was a significant indirect effect of parental involvement on HS graduation through individual resilience. Implications and future directions are discussed.
