Abstract

We investigated the role of temperament in the relationship between intolerance of uncertainty (IU) and anxiety in an undergraduate sample (N=208). IU predicted anxiety. Effortful control (EF) and negative affect (NA) partially explained this relationship. EF decreased and NA potentiated the risk of anxiety.
