Abstract
Participants were 38 children and mothers (data collection ongoing).Children reported, for 21 days, felt criticism and depressive symptoms. Mothers reported past depression.
Only children whose mothers had high past depression exhibited an association between criticism and depressive symptoms. This suggests that intergenerational depression transmission is related to increased criticism sensitivity.
