The Elements of Eco-Connection: A Cross-Cultural Lexical Analysis

This study explores cross-cultural perspectives on eco-connection (i.e., constructive engagement with nature). It does so by analysing ‘untranslatable’ words, which reveal phenomena that have been overlooked in one’s own language but identified by others. Given the English-centricity of psychology, such words can fill in conceptual gaps in the field.
