Trait Anxiety and Children's Academic Achievement: The Mediating Role of Executive Function

Abstract
The Trait Anxiety (TA) factor significantly predicted both Executive Function (EF) factors. EF mediated the relation between TA and academic outcomes; the strength relations did not vary by EF dimension. The findings suggest TA enhances processing efficiency, which may lead to improvements in academic performance for middle school students.
