The Representations of Older Adults in Primetime Television Commercials: A Comparison Among English-Language TV and Spanish-Language TV

Abstract
This study examined the representation of older adults in television commercials between NBC and Univision. Older adults continue to be underrepresented and negatively portrayed in the White TV commercials. However, results failed to find the underrepresentation of older adults in Hispanic commercials and that older adults were more positively portrayed.
