Abstract
Based on the theory of self-determination (Deci & Ryan, 2000) and the Job Demands-Resources theory (JDR) (Schaufeli & Bakker, 2004), this study aims to deepen understanding of the role of abusive leadership in explaining the motivational processes related to work performance (assessed in terms of organizational citizenship behaviors).
