Abstract
This study examines the role of anticipated versus experienced rejection in mediating the relationship between gay-life stressors and factors within the Interpersonal Theory of Suicide. Anticipated rejection mediated the relationship between perceived burdensomeness and internal gay-life stressors, while experienced rejection mediated the relationship between thwarted belongingness and external gay-life stressors.
