Using the Intersectionality Prism to Teach Diversity

Abstract
Intersectionality refers to how multiple aspects of our identities shape our experiences, via intersecting systems of equality and inequality; using the prism model to teach intersectionality helps educators integrate course material on diversity, and better helps students navigate an increasingly complex and multicultural world. Examples are provided.
