Abstract

This study examined the factor structure of the Revised Male Involvement Index (RMII) among couples in rural South Africa. Communication-Based MI and Action-Based MI emerged as factors. It is hoped that RMII will serve to assess the effectiveness of prevention programs of mother-to-child transmission of HIV aimed at increasing MI.
